Forsyth Park Fountain
Savannah is a great place to visit and if you are within 4 hours of Savannah, this is a great weekend getaway. Savannah’s quaint squares make up the historic district and there is so much history. In the historic city of Savannah, it is a place you can stay and visit and not even use your car the whole time your there.
When Janice and I have a business meetings out of town, we always try to take a couple of extra days before or after the meeting to sight see and take in the local cuisine.
We were excited that our meeting was at the Mansion on Forsyth Park. What a beautiful place to stay and the room was so comfortable and had real down south appeal. This AAA Five-Diamond Hotel overlooks the Forsyth Park in the historic district.
What amazed me the most was the unique art from the Grand Bohemian Gallery with over 400 rare works of Art. I really enjoyed the Peter Keil collection that was displayed throughout the hotel.
The famous Forsyth Park Fountain well known in the movie Forest Gump is located right in the heart of Forsyth Park.
